with Derby.
They found themselves trailing 21-0 to a well-drilled Derby side at half-time
in the first match.
Burton raised their game after the break and scored a well-deserved try through
Alex Crisp, which was converted by Ben Watson as the game ended 28-7.
It was all Burton in the second game as Tom Bunting and Sam Day sent their side
into a 10-0-half-time lead, with first Henry Andrew and then Bunting both denied
by the woodwork from conversion attempts.
Further tries from Andrew, Tristain Emery and Chris Sammons, plus an Andrew conversion,
completed a 29-0 victory.
A special mention goes to Joe Bird and Henry Whitfield, who contributed brilliantly
on their first appearances for Burton.

The first lineout of the match saw Tamworth take a short throw to the front of the line . The powerful Tamworth prop was able to power over the line for the first score, which they converted. Burton worked hard to contain the Tamworth pack and started to win some ball. Too many times though Burton failed to run into space. But instead tried to battle it out with the Tamworth pack. However with the best move of the first period, Burton did string several passes together and this resulted in Alistair Weedon going over to score Burton's first try. This was duly converted by Ben Watson.

Burton under 11's played two matches against Wolverhampton on Sunday.
Match 1: Burton 0 Wolverhampton 24
In the first game Wolverhampton were quicker to get going and put Burton under pressure from the kick off. Wolverhampton scored a try which they failed to convert. It took a second try from Wolverhampton to finally get the Burton players fired up. Burton started to ruck much better and gave their backs some ball to play with. Unfortunately it was Wolverhampton who scored again before half time. The half time score then 19-0 to Wolverhampton.
The second half was a different encounter with Burton matching their opposition in all departments. From the kick off Alistair Weedon nearly drove over the Wolverhampton line. The forwards were now looking much stronger and the Burton backs , now running straighter with the ball, looked much more threatening. The Burton defence was outstanding with great tackles notably from Sammons, Hunt and Watson.
Burton thoroughly deserved a try but alas it was not to be and indeed it was Wolverhampton who scored with the last play of the match.
Match 2: Burton 0 Wolverhampton 12
The second game saw some of Burton's less experienced players up against Wolverhampton who kept their stronger backs on the field.
Burton matched their opposition. Some excellent forward breaks deserved a try but it was not to be. The Burton defence was again outstanding with superb tackles coming from Henry Andrew and Joe Bird. Alex Cook playing in the centre looked really strong , making some excellent breaks.
Again Wolverhampton took the points scoring a try in each half and in this game the score of Burton 0 Wolverhampton 12 was a little unfortunate on a very courageous Burton side.

In the second half Willenhall brought on even bigger players but Burton stuck to their task well. Sam Butler had a superb performance in the heart of the forwards . The Burton tackling was brave and Burton were unlucky to go down to a try from a quickly taken penalty with the last play of the game.
