Camp Hill Colts 10  Burton Colts 5 on 9th February 2008

Like the last fixture between these two sides this game was a very close contest with play moving from end to end but defences always being on top. For the first twenty-five minutes there was no score but then a sixty metre break by Ben Marshall followed by another thirty metre one by Richard Tatersall both very nearly broke he deadlock. Unfortunately on the stroke of half time Camp Hill produced an excellent line out move that saw them score to take a 5-0 lead into the break.

The second half saw Ben Shuttleworth, Carl Timmis, Lewis Johnston and Adam Brooks continuing to produce some excellent scrummaging that gave Burton a platform to pressure the home line. A superb catch and drive from a lineout on the home 22 saw the Burton pack drive Carl Timmis forward to crash over for a try that levelled the scores at 5-5.

Both sides now threw everything into the game and with Burton spirits high after the score they pushed forward and a great break down the left wing by Richard James was stopped by some desperate defence. But the home side recovered quickly and soon got their own attack going and grabbed a score in the corner to run out winners by 10-5.
