Burton U13’s visited Burntwood for the first time in a Staffs league match and claimed victory.

The Crofters held the hosts in their own half for long spells and were eventually
rewarded when fly half Sam Tebbs side stepped over the line for a try that he
converted.

Burntwood rallied to threaten the Burton line and centre Lawrence Green made a try saving tackle on a strong running centre as the line beckoned.

With Burton taking the lead the hosts pressed for a score. Ben Grimsdell counter attacked down the narrow side passing to Robbie Cresswell Howe in support finishing under the posts for a simple conversion by Tebbs

The Crofters took a 14-0 lead at the interval and battled out a scoreless second half with an unfortunate injury to Sam Tebbs with minutes before full time.
