Nuneaton 24 Burton 5 on   Sept 30th 2007

On Sunday Burton played a well drilled Nuneaton side. Burton started well with a clever diagonl kick from HenryWhitfield . The Burton side put the Nuneaton fullback under a lot of pressure and from the ruck Whitfield broke and went over for the first try. But this served only to wake Nuneaton up. They completely dominated up front and Burton were starved of any real possesion.

The amount of turnover ball was reflected in Nuneaton scoring 5 tries of which they converted 2. There was some committed defence from the Burton lads with Ross Burrows and Edwin Runagle putting in some telling tackles. When Burton did have the ball in hand there were some strong punching runs most noteably from William Turner but Burton did not convert this into points
