Latest news letter for Burton Under 16's

Plans for the week. Training Thursday April 17th 7 - 8.30pm , Sunday trying to get a game. Please advise any unavailability
 
Players Dinner on Friday April 25th. 7 for 7.30 pm start. We are now full at 80 and can take no more. Monies awaited from :- Burton Sam Smith , Mabbott , Young , Briggs , Worthy , Wrathall , Ron , Endacott Jones .
 
On Wednesday April 30th it is the Presentation Evening for Burton RFC Junior teams at the clubhouse. 7.00pm start . For those who have been before , the format is changing. Each age group has 4 mins ,and only 4 mins , to present a very brief review of their season. Once all ( Under 13's  to Under 17's ) reviews are complete , each age group , starting with the under 17's and working backwards will make their individual awards. The intention is to make this a very much shorter affair than previous years which I imagine most will appreciate.
 
Please keep sending in your nominations for players player of the year and spectators player of the year. Whoever receives these awards and it could be you would , I am sure , prefer to do so in the knowledge that many had nominated you.
 
Have not had a brilliant response in terms of letting me know who is not going to be playing rugby for Burton ( full time atleast ) . The following have said they will be unavailable on a regular basis but may appear from time to time - Zach , Maitland , Alex Stock , Jake and Nathan T but would appreciate feedback from Gos and Derby Sam Smith.
 
If anyone requires a new match shirt they need to advise me now what size they will be handing in and what size they require. I will need your shirt at the end of the season and without this I cannot order a replacement. Those leaving , not intending to play please let me have your match shirts back so that they can be given to other players who do not have match shirts
 
The lads will obviously be taking a well earned break from rugby at the end of this month. We hope that many will keep themselves fit through May and June during thei GCSE's and towards the end of June when exams are a done deal we will start gearing up for the Ontario provincial Under 16's
 
At the last Canada meeting we discussed the possibility of a buffet on arrival at our hotel in Toronto on the first night. Although it will be only 8pm Friday local time , to us it will be 2am Saturday morning and you may not feel like hitting the centre of Toronto looking for somewhere to eat. If you want to that's fine , but I have arranged a buffet in the hotel for £12 per person which will be added on to your final settlement figure by Phil M. I therefore need to know if you want the buffet , for how many people , and what your individual choices are - see below - ie which members of your family want what.
