Today is

Burntwood 17 Burton 6 on Nov 18th 2007
The wind, rain and cold weather had no effect whatsoever on today's game. Unfortunately, one of the most hardworking and honest players within the U17 squad was sin binned for 10 minutes , which may have proved to have been the deciding factor
Some of the Burton defence tackling was top draw. Scrummaging was excellent and lineouts much improved. The backs tried most of their moves and everyone kept working and supporting each other when lesser teams would have given up and gone home.
The communication, commitment and attitude appeared excellent today from every squad player and provided this group of players stick to their guns and work towards their seasons goals they will, in my opinion, be successful.
Burton U17 do not have a game next week so there is a training session on both Thursday and Sunday. The next match is away in the cup to Willenhall on the 2nd December, where Burton will be looking to reverse a close 8-7 league defeat earlier in the season.
