A great team victory.

Burton 0 v Willenhall 20
Burton played host to a very big and strong Willenhall side, the game was played at a fast pace and was a very physical game. Burton started well but gifted Willenhall with two easy tries in the first half, a sloppy pass put Burton under pressure and Willenhall sneaked through to pick up the ball to open the scoring. A missed tackle on the wing let Willenhall in for their second.
The first half was rounded off again by Willenhall with their big second row breaking through the maul to dive over the line to score. Burton had their moments in the first half, putting in huge tackles and releasing the ball down the back line well.
Burton's performance was much improved in the second half, only 1 try conceded to Willenhall's whippet centre. Burton's forwards worked extremely hard in this physical encounter, with Alistair Robson the pick of them, he was solid all round the park, showing great strength in attack and defence. Josh Greenwood put in some big tackles, with fellow front row Adam Dolman and Abe Furner always in support.
Terrior 2nd Row Lewis sturgess tackled hard and had the bloody nose to prove it. Oscar Phillips playing at Scrum half passed the ball out well and put in some great tackles, whilst fly half Alex Finney exerted great pressure on the opposition back line tackling well. Centres Jacob Brown, Tai Fellows and Samuel Bridgen commanded the midfield in the second half letting nothing through and having some good forward runs.
Wingers Lewis Mason, Joshua Thorman and Ewan Collins showed their great pace with some exilerating runs and were solid in defence. Full back Ben Whitehouse was a solid rock as the last line of defence, clearing the ball with some great clearance kicks and also using his strength to run the ball out of defence. Burton showed great character in the last 5 minutes of the game camped on their line they battled and bravely defended their line with huge tackle after tackle and eventually Ben kicks clear to relieve the pressure as the final whistle is then blown.
A great day of Rugby with all players going home happy with Smiles on their faces.
Well done to all.
