Burton 15 Lichfield 15 on Oct 21st 2007
Captain Adam Dolman led his team to a well earned draw with Lichfield, sharing the spoils with 3 try's eachin a very exciting game of Rugby. Burton started the stronger and soon the backs were in full flow as Fly half Ben Whitehouse used his pace to outsprint the lichfield defence from half way to score the opening try. Lichfield responded just before the half time whistle with a well taken try to level at half time. In the second half Burton again started well with Ben Whitehouse and Lewis Sturgess both going close to scoring, Ben just losing control of the ball over the try line and Lewis's foot just in touch on the try line. Man of the match Jacob Brown put Burton back in the lead with a lovely individual try as he danced through the Lichfield defence to score. Lichfield replied with a try to level again, but straight from the re-start Burton's Jacob Brown scored his second try. Burton held on until the last seconds of the game where a missed tackle allowed Lichfield in to level the game. Hooker Joe Thompson had a great game putting in tackle after tackle and centre Samuel Bridgen had some storming runs breaking through the Lichfield defence several times to set Burton up in good attacking positions.

The second game was a very hard fought battle with neither team conceding any points in a nil - nil draw. There was plenty of opportunities for both sides to score but brave defending from both meant neither side could score. Man of the match Thomas benjamin kicked well pinning Lichfield back in their own half and putting Burton in good attacking positions. The first half was very even but the second half was all Burton pouring on the pressure with attack after attack. A great team performance with every player contributing in attack, supporting each other with good quality passing. In defence every player put their body on the line to stop Lichfield from scoring.
