Under 7's @ Loughborough on 28th October 2007

On their second away outing, this time to Loughborough, Burton Under 7's showed flare, enthusiasm and great determination in all the 4 games they played against Loughborough and Syston.  The youngsters drew their first game against Loughborough 4-4 and then went on to win their other 3 games, one against Loughborough and the other two against Syston.

All the team members played well, showing support for each other, so it would be unfair to single out any in particular.

In their first game against Loughborough, Burton were up against a strong side, but Burton were strong in defence and the game proved to be lively and full of promise for what was to come. They drew 4-4.

The young team then took on Syston and this was a strong performance from both teams and an exciting game with good attacking end to end play.  Burtons teamwork was showing through well, despite a nasty injury to Elvis Drinkwater  who had to leave the pitch.  The result was a resounding 6-4 for Burton.

The third game was against Loughborough and Burtons determined players took the game deep into their opponents territory on several occasions, frequently giving the home side cause for concern.  The youngsters by now were now in high spirits and their faces told it all.  Burton won this one 4-3.

The last game was against Syston and tiredness was beginning to creep in but with some good support from the touchline, these young players put in another strong team effort and won by a resounding 7-4.

The U7's are showing good teamwork, great determination, and settling down into good pace and pleasing results for them and their coaches.  If they continue as they have started they can look forward to rewarding times ahead.
