Burton v Melbourne on 25th November 2007

Burton Under 7's travelled to Chellaston on Sunday morning to play Melbourne Under 7's.  They played 4 games of which Burton won 2, drew one and lost one.

The Burton youngsters were in their usual enthusiastic mood in all their games and are showing flare, determination and teamwork as they gain experience playing other local teams.

 

Match 1 - Melbourne 20 Burton 35 

They had a fine attacking first game, with good co-ordination and tactics resulting in an exciting game to watch.

Match 2 -  Melbourne 10 Burton 15 

A change of team members for the second game continued the theme but this game was a much tighter affair with the two well-matched teams demonstrating some good end-to-end play, and the resulting close win for Burton reflected the evenness of the two teams.

Match 3 - Melbourne 25 Burton 20 

Melbourne fought back in the third game and just managed to get a win.  Again the teams showed just how their skills are developing, with another well played strong game.

Match 4 - Melbourne 15 Burton 15

The final and fourth game was appropriately a draw (15-15) with little to chose between the two teams. 

The Under 7's are now well into their season and really enjoying their games with infectious enthusiasm.
