Under 7's v Sandbach on 11th November 2007

Game 1. Burton  30  Sandbach  30

Despite the cold and windy conditions, both teams performed faultlessly!

First blood went to Burton with an excellent run and try by George Abel. Burton's second came with some fancy footwork by Elvis Drinkwater supported by Joe Ensor. 

Sandbach broke through and scored, but only after some excellent tag work by Burton...in particular Joe Ensor and Philippa Stringer.

Three more tries, one from Joe Ensor, Elvis Drinkwater and Danny Lockley finished proceedings...a superb first game which finished in a draw.

Game 2. Burton  25   Sandbach 20

Some excellent running from Lucy Stringer helped set up Matthew Baker for a superbly excecuted first try. Two more tries from Matthew gave him a brilliant hat-trick with some sweeping support from Daniel Johnson-Field and Joe Ensor.

Two whippet like runs from Joe Ensor produced two more tries, to finish with Burton's best result of the day.

Game 3. Burton  10   Sandbach  25

Sandbach saved their best until last with this convincing win.

Excellent teamwork by Elvis Drinkwater, and Philippa and Lucy Stringer, help to set up George Abel and Joe Ensor to their two tries, but a more focused Sandback team bettered the Burton team by three tries to win 25-10.

Some great individual and team performances then by Burton..even on this cold and blustery autumnal day.
