Burton Vets 7 Derby Vets 35 on 5th January 2008

Burton Vets entertained Derby Vets on the Ox Hay and soon realised that their opponents had class and skill in abundance as they completely outplayed them. Scoring first Derby had pace and power in all departments and soon built up a healthy 20-0 lead through four tries.  Burton stuck at their task with Andy Betteridge and Dave Brown chasing all and sundry.

After the break a great solo effort by Angelo Nel saw him round four players before touching down during a forty metre run. Huw Davies added the extra points but these were to be Burton’s last as Derby re-established their control to go on and score a further three tries to run out winners by 35-7.
